MIDIcar

Hi Mathy,

I can't say the price before officially notice on PTODT but calculated cost is set to 60 euro (MIDIcar + case + assembly). There is no MIDI module inside installed, like S2 or X2GS. It's not needed if you have your own MIDI device like external synthesizer... Many good modules you may find in SERDA SHOP: https://www.serdashop.com/MIDI

I prefer X2GS but S2 playing very well too.

. Hello Pancio

Will you be selling them ready-to-use or also in kit form? This is the latest version? S2 and X2GS will fit inside the case (not at the same time of course)? Do you want me to pay up front or at the Fujiama? If I remember correctly, you had plans for an XE version as well. How far along are these?

Sincerely

Mathy

Hi,

MC is ready to use, but without S2/X2GS. so you must connect external MIDI device to MC's MIDI OUT. S2/X2GS might be installed later (both XL and XE version is capable to use many of MIDI DreamBlaster modules). Regarding payment - on Fujiama will be ok :-) At this moment both version of MC for XE (with ECI) and XL ale available.

Hello Pancio

But the case of the MC can be closed when a DreamBlaster Modul is installed? Does the XE version come with a case too?

Hi,

Yes. You are able to reopen case and insert or change MIDI module without any problem. Both, XE and XL MidiCar version are equipped with easy to open enclosure.

Which module you want to have? I may bay it from SERDA shop for you...

Hello Pancio

Are both versions of the MC PBI compliant by now?

Just out of curiosity: Is there a reason why I should let you order from Serda instead of doing it myself? BTW somebody from Belgium (Eric/Lastic) has announce that he will come to the Fujiama again this year. Maybe he can order the modules.

Hi,

Yes. XL and XE version has completely the same functionality and using the same player. No, I asked only because many users needs to have ready to use MC with installed module. You may order module by your own hand :-) I bought around 20 modules form Serge (Serda owner) and had some kind of discount... but it depend on volume. I'll order a few modules for rest MCs soon. He sending modules very quickly...

. Hello Pancio

I've just revisited Serdashop (online of course). Are the S2 and the X2GS the only compatible modules? Have you seen that there is an SE version of the X2GS?

Hi,

I tested a few MIDI modules... S2, X2GS, E-WAVE, Q-WAVE.. each module playing well but of course there are many differences with wave table. In my opinion S2 and X2GS sounds the best - I'm using X2GS everyday. Regarding your question, any module which is compatible with waveblaster connector shall play well. Don't worry, buy it! :-)

. Hello Pancio

I'm still not sure which soundcard to choose. Will the X16GS fit inside the case? It seems to have everything that is listed as an option for the S2 and the X2GS.

BTW I guess I wasn't clear about if I wanted a MIDICar. Please bring one XL and one XE version to the Fujiama for me. Do you want me to pay now or at the Fujiama?

Sincerely

Mathy

PS it looks like Lotharek is going to sell sound cards too. At least if I understand what he wrote on facebook correctly.

Hi Mathy,

Just only one condition you should to consider... dimensions. If chosen by you module has lower or equal dimensions than X2GS - will fit space into MIDIcar's housing without any problems.

Of course, I'll bring a few MCs and MIDI modules to Fujiama party place. You don't need to pay earlier.. you may check how it's work before buying :-)

Hello pancio

It usually starts on Thursday, but this year it starts on Wednesday, next year on Tuesday and the year after that it will start on Monday. Always at 00:00 o'clock.

I usually sleep in my car, but those who sleep in a hotel usually sleep at the Lengenfelderhof. That's downhill from the Schützenhaus. If that's full or you don't like it, there is also the Parkgaststätte:

Tel.: 037606 / 170911 E-Mail: info@attikos-lengenfeld.de Attikos, Am Park 2, 08485 Lengenfeld

Mo: Closed Tu-Thu: 17:00-22:30 Fr-Su: 11:30-14:30 / 17:30-23:00

I know it exists, but I don't know exactly where it is. I've been at the Lengenfelderhof to eat.

. Hallo Pancio

I'm rereading the topic about the Fujiama here on the forum and found this:

Lengenfelderhof: 0376068770 or per e-mail: rezeption@hotel-lengenfelder-hof.de

Rooms for one person 55 euro without breakfast, 66 euro with breakfast per night. You can eat breakfast at the Schützenhaus for a small fee.
